Bạn hoàn toàn có thể hướng dẫn con học tiếng Anh tại nhà kể cả khi tiếng Anh của bạn chưa thực sự hoàn hảo. Đừng lo lắng vì con có thể học ngữ pháp tại trường học, quan trong hơn là bạn khiến trẻ bộc lộ khả năng nhận biết ngoại ngữ và cảm thấy hứng thú khi học tiếng Anh.

Hãy sắp xếp các hoạt động theo một thời gian biểu cố định hàng ngày. Bạn có thể chơi một số trò chơi bằng tiếng Anh cùng con sau giờ học, hoặc đọc chuyện bằng tiếng Anh trước giờ ngủ. Đều đặn lặp lại như vậy, bạn sẽ đem lại cho trẻ những phản xạ cần thiết với từ ngữ và các cụm từ tiếng Anh trước khi con quen dần với việc tự mình thực hiện việc đó.
Để kéo dài sự chú ý của trẻ với các hoạt động trên mỗi ngày, bạn nên chia chúng thành các hoạt động nhỏ với tần suất cao hơn thay vì một hoạt động dài nhưng lại ngắt quãng. Khoảng thời gian 15 phút là vừa đủ với trẻ nhỏ. Dần dần, bạn sẽ tăng thời lượng của mỗi hoạt động lên để phù hợp với con nhỏ khi con trưởng thành hơn.

Phụ huynh cũng hoàn toàn có thể áp dụng những nguyên liệu tương tác thú vị đó vào các hoạt động luyện kỹ năng nghe và đọc của con tại nhà. Hãy nhớ luôn tạo cho trẻ cảm giác vui mà học, học mà chơi; như vậy con sẽ học một cách tự nhiên.
