Bạn hoàn toàn có thể hướng dẫn con học tiếng Anh tại nhà kể cả khi tiếng Anh của bạn chưa thực sự hoàn hảo. Đừng lo lắng vì con có thể học ngữ pháp tại trường học, quan trong hơn là bạn khiến trẻ bộc lộ khả năng nhận biết ngoại ngữ và cảm thấy hứng thú khi học tiếng Anh.
Những lời khuyên dưới đây chưa thể khiến con nói tiếng Anh thuần thục ngay lập tức, nhưng bạn hãy kiên nhẫn áp dụng và dần dần bạn sẽ nhận thấy sự tiến bộ của con.
3. đừng quá tập trung vào ngữ pháp
Khi con bạn còn nhỏ, việc chú trọng dạy các nguyên tắc ngữ pháp cho trẻ chưa thực sự cần thiết. Thông qua các bài tập và hoạt động học tiếng Anh được bạn thiết kế tại nhà, trẻ sẽ dần làm quen với việc nghe và sử dụng các cấu trúc ngữ pháp trong nhiều ngữ cảnh khác nhau. Điều này sẽ giúp cho con học tiếng Anh một cách tự nhiên và chính xác hơn kể cả khi trưởng thành.
4. TẬN DỤNG NHỮNG TÌNH HUỐNG THƯỜNG NGÀY
Một trong những lý do bạn nên cùng con học tiếng Anh tại nhà bởi con sẽ được trực tiếp tiếp xúc với các tình huống thường ngày, cũng như các đồ vật xung quanh ngôi nhà để thực hành tiếng Anh một cách tự nhiên nhất. Ví dụ như khi bé đang mặc váy hoặc phụ giúp cha mẹ phân loại quần áo trước khi cho vào máy giặt, bạn có thể cùng con nói về chủ đề quần áo (hãy sử dụng các câu như ‘Let’s put on your blue socks’; ‘It’s Dad’s T-shirt’, etc.). Các từ vựng về đồ chơi của con hoặc đồ nội thất trong nhà cũng sẽ được trẻ thích thú luyện tập cùng bạn khi đang dọn phòng ngủ. (Ví dụ như ‘Let’s put your teddy bear on the bed!’; ‘Can you see your blue car?’). Khi bạn dẫn con đi siêu thị, hãy hỏi trẻ một số từ để miêu tả các vật dụng trên giá hoặc cho trẻ một danh sách đồ dùng cần mua bằng tiếng Anh và yêu cầu trẻ tìm kiếm chúng trong siêu thị.
Là bậc phụ huynh, bạn hãy động viên và tuyên dương trẻ mỗi khi con hoàn thành một hoạt động. Đừng quên biến việc học thành niềm vui cho trẻ, như vậy chắc chắn con bạn chắc chắn sẽ hào hứng hơn với việc học ngoại ngữ.
